Before you start

We’ll ask for your mortgage plan number, so make sure you’ve got it to hand. You can find this in Online Banking or any letters or statements we’ve sent you about your mortgage.

When will my payments take effect?

Usually, your new reduced payment will start from the next month, but sometimes we don’t have enough time to change it. If this happens, your new payment amount will be taken the following month.

You can find your next payment date in Online Banking or your mortgage statement.

There’s no need to call us

We’ll write to you and anyone else named on the mortgage at the address we have on our records to let you know if you can make interest only payments for six months.

Please don’t change your current payment amount until we’ve confirmed you can make interest only payments.

If you pay by Direct Debit:
We’ll reduce it automatically for you.

If you pay any other way:
You’ll need to change your payment instruction - we’ll let you know how much your new payments will be and the date they’ll start. You’ll need to remember to change it back once your reduced payments stop.
